Detailed boxscore from the game
Score: 101-96 Milwaukee
Bobcats Record: 7-12
Efficiencies
Offensive: 110.3
Defensive: 117.4
Meritorious Player: Jared Dudley. 8 points on 4 attempts. 3 steals (seemed like more - very active in passing lanes). 3 assists. The Bobcats were =9 with The Dude on the court, in just 21 minutes.
I think I mentioned the rebounding thing in the preview - the Bobcats did not heed the advice. 20 defensive rebounds for CLT, 14 offensive rebounds for Milwaukee. Yeesh - that is the kind of thing that helps your opponent score at an efficiency of 117.4. Milwaukee had 15 possessions where they collected offensive rebounds (including team rebounds) - on those 15 possessions, they scored 22 points, an efficiency of 146.7. Not good, unless you are a Bucks fan reading this.
Handful of quick notes on this delayed recap (it is Christmas time, lots going on, sorry):
Jared - good work, nice game, but 0 rebounds? Not to nitpick, but we need the rebounding we got from you last year.
Gerald - I know you are sensitive to hard fouls - but getting that T when Ridnour grabbed your shoulders on the break...that was tough. Instead of Charlotte scoring 2 to make up ground, he made the T free throw - and you made 1 of 2. Nothing gained. Not helpful.
Sean - Do not lazily dribble the ball near half-court after tipoff. There are lots of guys near you - one of them will steal it, just like what happened. Again, not helpful. Unforced error.
A little more on the rebounding thing: Small lineups do not rebound well, Larry. With D.J, Raymond, Jason, Gerald, and Emeka on the court together, the Cats grabbed 4 defensive rebounds - Milwaukee grabbed 3 offensive. With Adam, D.J., Jason, Jared, and Nazr - Milwaukee got 2 offensive, Charlotte 0 defensive. Against a good rebounding team, playing a power forward would probably be a plus. And Jared Dudley is not a 4.
