With the draft approaching, it is time to be considering who the Bobcats might/should take. Given that the team's glaring needs are for more big men and a backup (starting?) point guard, that is where I will focus these looks. Today, we start with Anthony Randolph:
Randolph is a 6'-10(11/)" power/small forward from LSU. Only 18 years old...and only 220 pounds. And now, the links to really tell you something about him.
And his stats from kenpom.com - His rebounding and block numbers look even better when seen in the light of the % of opportunities. Looks like plenty of room for improvement on offense.
NBADraft.net gives their thoughts on the prospect - They make comparisons to Lamar Odom and Tayshaun Prince. I do not see either comparisons, outside of body type (long and lean). Lamar is more of a point forward (Randolph averaged 1.2 assists per game this year) and Tayshaun was already quite a shooter from deep when joined the league (Anthony attempted only 19 3's on the season, making 2).
