Maybe a little pretentious (which may or may not fit well on this site, I'm not one in a position to judge).

So, I need your help. As you can tell from the site, I'm a numbers guy, more analytical than creative (whichever brained that makes me, left or right). When it comes to thinking of ways to look at the team through different stats, this is a good thing: When it comes to thinking of a funny line that summarizes the site, it is less good. The best I've come up with is "Queen City Hoops: Making Bobcats Fans Smarter" and "Queen City Hoops: Where Bobcats fans go to school". And yes, I know those are both "the suck". But, it's what I've got...
...when I am doing this on my own. That's where you, the readers, come in. I think the site deserves better than some corny phrase that I might come up with, so I am challenging you to do better. It does not even have to be funny: It can be a movie quote, or a song lyric, or anything else that you think would be a good tagline for "the QCH".
You may be thinking, "What's in it for me?" Glad you asked. If I choose your tagline for the site (of if the other readers choose it in a poll, I haven't decided which yet), you will be the proud owner of your very own...Queen City Hoops t-shirt, complete with the logo from the top of the page, and the new tag line (Exciting, I know, but it's the best I can do at this time). Here's a tentative design from customink. Also, feel free to weigh in on the t-shirt color and style.

Right... because comments like "I know those are both "the suck", "Hmmm...technically true. Also, technically boring" and "I'm a...nerd." all make him sound like he is basking in self-importance. (As a side note I think the similarity between basketball and basking makes "basking in self-importance" a better choice than "simmering".) |

John - I like it. Air Bobcat - I laughed out loud, too bad it is true. Ken - I'm sorry you weren't hugged more as a child. I can honestly say that writing a blog that is read by literally 10's of people each day has done wonders for my ego. Bob - Thanks - for getting it and keeping things civil. Your word does fit better though, as basking means to "take great pleasure or satisfaction" while simmering is to "be filled with pent-up emotion or seethe". There is something to be said for alliteration, but the meaning of the word used matters more to me. |

Too bad you don't have Amare on your team, then you could have all kinds of references to player nicknames. Like QCH: Rich with Stat Ammo. I guess you could always do QCH: Rich with Primo Ammo, but it loses the point. QCH: Crashin' with Ammo? Then you can spend your days ripping Morrison!
