The Starting 5 (with Ryan Hollins) and Who They Played
10/26/2007With Sam Vincent convinced that starting Primoz Brezec is in the team's best interest, Ryan Hollins has been relegated to the bench. I do not necessarily think that Primoz starting is great for the Bobcats, but I also do not know if Ryan Hollins is any better of an answer. He got some time this pre-season with the starting 5 (or 4, depending on how you want to phrase it), and did ok - he did not put up much in the way of numbers, but the team did passably with him out there. How passable? Well, in 48 and a half minutes, the 5 had an adjusted +/- of -0.002 points per possession: They scored at a rate of 0.967 ppp and surrender points at 0.969. So basically, they played even with the opposition. Not bad. But, who was the opposition? Let us take a look.
